I'm a bit worried. I moved the boys cage today while cleaning and put it in front of my dresser. I didn't realize how close it was. It took me a few hours to finish cleaning and then I realized they chewed my pine dresser. The dresser is about 12 years old. I want to make sure my boys will be okay. I feel horrible. I didn't realize they were that close :(

how much of it did they chew, and do you think they actually ingested some of the wood from the dresser, or is there a lot of little bits on the floor? (pine itself is safe for chins if kiln dried, but the varnishes and paints on furniture are not safe).

they should be ok, but keep an extra close eye on them for the next couple days and don't hesitate to go to the vet if you think it is necessary.

I didn't see any bits on the floor. They chewed along the entire edge of a drawer. They are fine this morning, acting okay and everything. They fought me when I took them out of the cage to check for hair rings. (weekly checks since my older boy got his boy parts stuck out a couple of weeks ago).
