this is my chin cage. its 6 feet tall 4 feet wide and 3 feet deep. it has a flagstone house on the bottom, and the big dead tree in the center is an apple tree. its built into a big shelving system for all our other animals. and te door is made of screen and latches to the side. the chins love it, and so do i. its like having a zoo exhibit in the basment.

Your picture didn't show up, but your cage definitely sounds nice and spacious.

Looks pretty neat - I built one 4 x 4, seperated down the middle, that worked well, too!
Wished I'd built 4 doors though, as kits kept sneaking out, while cleaning.
I used 1/4 x 1/4 hardware screen, as you can hang water bottles from it, and never had a chew mark on it!

That's really cool how the apple tree is one giant central support- very inventive!

love the cage! very cool usage of the apple tree!

i painted or maybe stained the outside doors on the home made cage we have. the chins cant get to it.

thanks all. yeah.. the paint isnt non toxic. but since the only place i painted was the concrete im not rly worried about them eating it.

and the other wood it flat. so they cant chew it. plus they have lots of other stuff to chew before that. lol
