Poor Guy...He looks a little pissed off....probably more comfortable without all the tangles, but pissed off still. HAHA

Ha.. yea I'm sure hes more comfortable. He must be cold though because he keeps trying to sleep right between your legs where it is warm.

I HATE shaving him though.. we have to hold him down while he cries and cries. It had to be done though.

I am thinking of doing this to my long haired cat as well. She has been getting almost constant hairballs since Summer started. :( I brush her every single day, and almost every morning when i come home from work I find a coughed up hairball on the floor. Poor baby.

I am scared to death of trying to shave her though. I can't imagine how she is going to take it. Did you just use two people? One to hold and the other to shave? Any other tips and tricks? I need advice!

Yep.. two people. One holding him down and petting him, the other to do the shaving. I'd say get as much done as you can with him in his normal standing position while one person is petting him trying to calm him down. When it comes time to do the belly and paws/legs, you might have to hold him down with some force. I hate that part because they will cry and cry but it's for his own good.

Oh and watch for hot blades. We had to cool it down with water or some spray stuff multiple times. We have some fancy shaver made for pets that we bought online because the walmart ones weren't working.

:hair: Uhm he looks really ticked off, too funny. I'm sure it was for his own good though.

Wow your lucky he didn't go pee in your shoes or on your bed. That is what most cats do when you tick them off that much hahaha.

Yea, he looks like he isn't willing to "let go" of his fur, he'll probably be hunting down that stuff for weeks to lick and still get hairballs!
