My 3 month old was just crying for five minutes

She has only cried two times in the 6 weeks I've had her.. and usually at night, and just for a second so I assume something scared her. but she was making this noise constantly for five minutes and wouldn't come out of her dust bath! I have no idea why.. should I be worried?

I wouldn't be concerned. She may just be lonely or something frightened her. Sometimes chins are afraid of things we aren't aware of. Different lights, sounds, or smells can frighten a chin.

My first guess would be that she was scared of something. Some of my chins will do that now and then. They just hide and start up like that for a good while. Their have even been a few times they wouldn't even take a sand bath during an episode like that. And they don't give up sand baths for anything.

Being 3 months old, did you just get her? If so that can explain her fear. I have one that barks if they see a insect or something they see out the window. The noise you would really worry about is this super loud squeal.
