I adopted my baby Lilly about a month ago and was told she was a beige and for the most part I accepted that she was, I love her and didn't care. Curiosity got to me and I started researching the different types of mutations. The more I looked the more I noticed Lilly doesn't look like a typical beige. She has the red eyes, the freckles on her little ears, but she's really dark, almost a brown color. I looked further into brown furs and to me she looks like a brown velvet. My boyfriend even saw me looking up brown velvets and just said "Hey, it looks like Lilly." I'm not sure if there is a exact way to tell without knowing her biological background(she was adopted off of craigslist from her former owner). It's not important to me, just a curious person.
Can I get some opinions on it?
Here's pictures of my pretty little girl.

Thank you, it's nice to know I wasn't just going crazy. She's my first non-standard and was just not familiar with different mutations. My other girl is an obvious standard grey.
