We finally found a house and moved in yesterday -- well you can sort of say we moved in (if you count physically having belongings inside).

The chins did great other than one naughty boy, the newest rescue, who managed to pop his Ryerson carrier door open twice before I wired it so it couldn't open. (fortunately it was at our house while the movers were there and 1.he did not get outside and 2. I found him right away

My nervous girl traveled in the big carrier with Stetson who is her perfect, nothing phases him, travel companion.

Hotel room with two dogs, a toddler, the chins, and me up every few hours pregnant= we all need a vacation!

The house has a fabulous, huge chin room in a furnished basement and natural light. There's even a work room, perfect for storage of pet items, making cages, etc. I just have a lot of cleaning left as the basement hasn't been used in a long time.

Moving at 34 weeks prego is not fun, especially combining that with painting three bedrooms and a bathroom the same day.

The rest of the week it's a toss up: clean more,
unpack, organize, or buy stuff we need?

Any volunteers? ;)

Bless your heart. I moved at 34w pregnant with my second. it was NO picnic!

Enjoy your house and put your feet up!

Nesting + moving is not a good combination.

But it also brings more irritation with owners who give up the chins because of a move. The animals are easy,it's the two year old whose tough!

Yes we did! It's very cute but complicated to set up. And it took a good 3 hours to clean up downstairs. I love it though.

And my three gray/white bedrooms turned out soo cute.

i recently moved with kishi,it was a 45 minuet drive with her in a small starter cage, she was really good, except when we got there the first thing she did was pee all over me =/
i must have ticked her off!

Ugh, I moved three times in less than a year with between 20-30 chins. I never want to do it again! They were the most complicated part of the move every time!

And I can't imagine doing it at 34 weeks pregnant! That nesting urge would be helpful to completely unpack though! We've been here 2.5 years, owned it for 1.5, and still I don't think we're fully unpacked and organized.
