Hello! Had a quick question about moving to a new house with my chinchilla. The new house is 30mins away but I don't have any small carriers because my others pets will need them. He also has a fairly large cage and I don't feel safe putting him in it on the ride to the new place. Any ideas would be great! Thanks!!!

Carriers at WalMart are less than $20.00. It's the safest, most secure way to move him.

Check with friends to see if they have one you can borrow if you don't want to buy one. Just make sure to thoroughly clean and sanitize it before using for your chinnie.

did you move already? bit the bullet and get that poor little sweetie a carrier, a good one that wont risk them getting out during the move.

30 minutes is a really show distance I have moved my chinchilla in a med. sized cardboard box before, I poked holes in it large enough for me to peer in and tapped the box shut then keep it in the front car seat. I put a towel in the bottom to so she has some cushion. I do have a official carrier for her now though which is much better.
