Mira has been in my basement for about 10 weeks now. I'm finally going to move her and Marika up to my bedroom. I'm wondering how to make the transition less stressful for them? They will be in a new room with other chins. My boy's cage will be about seven feet away from the girls cage.

I have moved the girls' cages to a few different rooms before finally deciding that I want them in the main living space so everyone can interact with them more and they have never had a problem adjusting. It's still their cage, with their things. I would think, JMO, since I have never owned boys, that you might have more of an issue with them adjusting to being around girls!

Paired boys do not do well in a room with girls, you might want to rethink that move. Are these the boys that are about to be rehomed? If so, just wait until they go to their new home before you move the girls.

They are not the same boys. They are my first two males, Terrance and Phillip. I have heard various opinions on the subject though.
