Ok, my hand is literally hovering over the buy button for buying a few sets of fleece liners lol.

But! I have a question first. Both are my boys are pretty darn messy when it comes to where they pee, they just go everywhere, there isnt one specific spot that they have picked at their pee spot.

So my question is this, for those of you that use the fleece liners, how bad do they smell, and how often do you change them for chins that are messy.

Should I use a little pan? Or just forget it because they dont have a "spot" they go in.

Thanks guys!

I have the same exact problem! My chins pee everywhere in the cage. I switched from Carefresh to fleece liners and I'm trying to litter box train them now. I saved some of their old, peed on bedding and put it into the pan, but they seem to go pee everywhere EXCEPT in the litter pan! :hair:

I change mine every few days because it does start to smell and the whole liner has been peed on. I may switch to pine bedding if they don't start using the litter pan, but I'll give it a couple weeks.

It just depends on your chins. My older boys pee mostly close to the area of where their water bottle is and that's where I placed a small pan of pine bedding and I change that pan every other day, but the liners only once every 5-7 days. My 2 younger boys mostly pee in a larger pan of bedding and I do the same with their liners as the older boys. I don't have a problem with bad odor from the liners in either cage.

Okay, so I've yet to recieve my baby, but I'm already planning. I like the idea of liners and I've got fleece for it but I'm just unsure of where to start.
1st: should I start him on the bedding, to let him get settled, or should I just have them in there when he first gets home? (I'm pretty sure he has bedding/litter with his mom, but I'll check)
2nd: When I do add the liners, what do I do with them? Should I sew them (and if so, with what thread and stitch?) should I add a second layer, or should I just fold them in half and hide the edges so he can't destroy them too easily?
3rd: Any other tips for the liners?
