Messy fur

My chins have been sick one due to tooth damage and the other has a bladder infection from a water bottle malfunction. Their coats are matted and sticky from being sick and the antibiotics. Poor things look horrible. My question is should I try and clean up their coats or let it go and give it time to resolve as they get better?

Are they eating and drinking on their own still?

You could try gently wiping them with unscented baby wipes, then giving them dust baths after they are fully dry again.

If they are still very sick though, I'd probably just wait until they're feeling a bit better.

They have not stopped eating or droning even while on the antibiotics. Poo is pretty normal so far. I did trim the clumps/knots off the male as he was pulling at them earlier.
