Meet Kratos and Phobos!

I picked up these little guys on Thursday from a family who bought them for their daughter, who decided she did not want the responsibility any more. Originally their names were Patches and Godzilla, but I am not a fan of the name Patches and I refused to call the other Godzilla. :neener: So, after telling my husband about their personalities, he came up with Kratos for the big one, because he is a bit of a bully, especially at the dinner bowl because he always has to eat first. Kratos means the spirit of strength, might,power and sovereign rule. Phobos means spirit of panic fear, flight and battlefield rout, and since the little one lets his big brother push him around and runs at the sight of anything coming near his cage we named him Phobos.

Thanks! They are settling in quite well! They are both very vocal, especially when their veggie bowl is not filled first thing in the morning!

We are still working on play time though. I had them out last night while cleaning cages and all they dis was sit and chirp the entire time they were out..it was this forlorn grumpy like chirp, almost like they were miffed at having been disturbed!

I have some major piggie 'tude going on! The little one, Phobos,always tries to nip at my hand when I put the veggies in the bowl for him to eat! And the bigger one, Kratos, pushes my hand out of the way when I am feeding them too!

i rescued a GP a few months ago and she does the hand push thing which i think is hilarious AND she just sits there for playtime. i have tried everythign to get her fat piggie butt to move. she has almost doubled in size since she has been here and she is as lazy as can be!

your two are adorable! i love the longer haired cavies. you will have to post more pix of them when they get settled, i always like seeing how other people set up their cages.

I am still in the process of building some C&C cages for them, as I just received my order of Cloroplast the other day and am still looking for some cubes, so for now they are in their pet store cages. But I plan on building a 2 level cage for my girl Goldie and maybe a 3 level for Kratos and Phobos.

I think by the time I am through with the chin room and the guineas cages, I am going to need bigger rooms for it all!
