EDIT: I am not selling this, just posting to see if it is ok without the pans and stuff

"
Ferret Nation cage, two level approximately 5 feet tall. Has wheels.

Why is it cheap? It's been outside for a while, it's dirty, the plastic bottom pans are all warped, and honestly I don't want to mess with it anymore.

Some people swear by these cages, but I'm currently using another type. I don't love them.

These usually cost a-plenty. I'll take $50 OBO (or best offer for you new classifieds readers).

Email me if you want photos of the actual cage.

Thanks!"

Do i even need the pans? I dont mind poop in the chinchilla room so i don't need pans if they dont have to be in there, i was gonna copy Haley and put tile on the bottom, im gonna look at pictures and stuff and i may be able to power wash the HE double hockey sticks out of it and make it look nice!!!

No im asking if its fine without pans and stuff cause i found it on my local craigslist

If the plastic pans are warped then you'll probably need to replace them. It would be best just to get Bass Pans instead of the plastic pans, as they cost about the same after you have them shipped to you. 2 pans will run you around $55-60 after shipping.

are the pans necessary though or does it just have a metal bottom because i dont mind poop being thrown out because it will come off the shelves anyways

You need pans, the bottom is big wire without the pans, but I would say it is a great deal!

I agree with addicted to chins, or maybe ask people on here if they have old pans they can sell you for cheap, I bet a lot of people have the plastic pans that have replaced them with bass pans.

You don't need pans if you put something over the wire. I have a piece of plexiglass with self adhesive vinyl tiles and then some marble tiles just to have something cool to lay on. You don't need pans but you do need to have a fitted solid bottom.

Could you PM me price and stuff, i guess i will take them both, but i dont think i will keep the middle in but you nvr know.

Thanks

Done deal, it looks almost new except for no pans and the ladders and shelves look bad which i wont be using anyways, plus instead of me driving an hour to go get it, she just happens to be coming to my city tomorrow!!! I am so glad i found one, and for such a great price!, it has the middle divider with a cut out in it, how easy is that to take out?

Honestly the plastic pans that come with the cage are useless. I ordered bass pans because the plastic ones are not tall enough to keep any bedding in.

I agree, I would pay the extra and get the bass pans, but if you can construct something to act as a poo barrier, that would work. I have not found a great solution though, not even a good one.

I dont use bedding, i just need something to cover the bottom holes, is it possible to take out the middle layer though once it is already in? Also im so lucky, she just happens to be coming from an hour away, to 10 minutes away so she just decided she will drop it off, so im getting a pretty nice FN142 for $50!!!! But again on the middle layer, does the cage have to be taken apart for that to come out?

You can just leave the middle layer in and let her go through the hole from floor to floor
