I'm getting 3 bonded ebony males and I'd like to tell them apart until we get to know them. Is there a safe way to mark a dark chin for a week or 2.

I'm not sure their current owner would appreciate me doing tags and I'd like to do it at her place while she's telling me their age and relationships to each other so I know. They range from 1 to 3 years old.

i have two females, a mom and daughter pair that look identical. The only real physical difference is the mother has a spot of fur near her back right leg that is slightly more firm. About the size of a small pinky finger nail. As far as i no she was always had it since i got here. But thats the only real physical way to tell them apart'

Sharpie is chin safe, and if there are three tail trimming may be hard to do. I mean, you could trim one and mark one w/sharpie...or just use sharpie to make two or all three :)

The problem I had with sharpies was the marks do not last. And all it takes is to forget once to remark them and you will have a guessing game.

Cut more hair off of one of the tails than the other...then just leave one alone... That is what I'd do anyway...one might look a little funny till the hair grows back but eh...just a suggestion...

I used the gray sharpies at the CA State show back in Jan 2013 and their ears are still marked. For some reason black sharpies doesn't last that long.
