I have a question for everyone....I am not sure where to start! Anyway - this morning before I left for work I was petting Kunya and he loves to have his belly rubbed. While I was rubbing his belly, he decided that he was going to mate with my hand!! He started to hump it even!! I always rub his belly and give him scratches. Maybe he just got a lil too excited LOL! Has this ever happened to anyone before? Just curious!

Never happened to me, uhm my hand, but have heard that it is common with some male chins.

I have heard this is very normal behavior in males, however I have not experienced as of yet. Maybe because I do my scritches, or try to give them, through the bars and not when the door is open! Leonard likes to "love" his Elvis pillow and let's be honest who doesn't love Elvis? LOL!

Yes, that is very common. And sometimes, if you don't move fast enough, you'll get a little "present" on your hand ;)

Haha the joys of owning boy chins!

EWWW!!! That is gross, but accurate! Believe me, I don't leave my hand in long enough to get a "present". It is bad enough that they poo in my hand!!

Thanks for the answers!! I am glad its normal boy behavior! Hopefully I will never get the "present" lol! Maybe I should get Kunya an Elvis pillow....what do you think, Laurie? :)

Hehe yeah the fun of having a boy! Mine loves my foot... literally, so far hasn't gone for my hand!

sometimes buddy pillows are a great way for them to get that steams off (no pun intended) and avoid human necessity for it.

Always worth a shot! (again no pun intended :neener:) hahahahahaha

I have had a couple of males that had crushes on my hand. Once I realized what they were doing, I, too, quit leaving my hand in there for long.

LOL....I enjoyed your response! I know I have been meaning to get him a cuddle buddy...guess he proved he needs to blow off some steam! I am going to order one first thing in the morning!

Yes, get that "poor" little guy a buddy pronto!! My boy does get funny with my hand and arm---and as soon as he starts to cross the line--(note: i CAN tell!!hehe)--i throw his cuddle buddy at him; and laugh! The joys of a solo boy!

Ok - I have ordered him a snuggle buddy! I got him a lemon wedge from TheFuzzDepot.com. Hope it gets here soon!!

Oh my, this might make me pick a female when I go on Tuesday. Like Rach I have question about Male behavior.

I read somewhere online.. that males can get a fur ring.. that cuts off circulation to their genitals. Is that true? It said the only way to prevent this to look for that fur ring and remove it with KY jelly.

I don't know why people freak over hair rings. Honestly they're not that big of a deal, and usually don't happen that often. Once you get used to the checks, they're easy. In my 3 years of chin ownership and over the course of 10 male chins, I have not seen one hair ring.

Oh just lovely, I'm really glad my boys dont' do this.

Sorry to if I stole the spot light Rach. :( Just thought I'd ask that though.

I'm sure all chin's are different. But does it take a long time to teach one "its okay if I turn you on your back." Or is it something that you need to slowly work on? If so, any pointers on checking for the rings? More like, is there any tips about going about the procedure? To sooth them into it or something.
