Make shelves from Pine Wood

I bought a piece of Pine Wood from Low's to make shelves for my Chin. My Chin likes to chew on it. Is it necessary to boil and bake the wood before I put it into the cage?

Nope. The pine from Lowe's is already kiln dried so it's fine to put right in.

just make sure you buy the untreated wood and you are fine!

Where do you live, if u don't mind me asking?

I see ppl all the time asking questions related to them getting kiln dried pine from lows/home depot or where ever. But i have never once seen them in any of the stores around here. They only have poplar.
