For Reina today!!! A pretty lil' dress!(I got the idea/tutorialfrom Craftster!!) Of course I have to show it off... any chance to post pics of my lil' cutie!! (typical mom right?!?) It's made out of a boys dress shirt! The Button up back is actually the front of the boys shirt!! I think it turned out wonderful and is exactly what I wanted/expected it to look like!! it's actually a bit big still since I made it for the summer! But I think it looks great on her!! Oh and I had fun aking it also!! and I made her a very simple white "kitty" hat also... but I didn't get any good pics of it on her unfortunetly... but when I do I'll post them also!

Thanks!!! When I saw the tutorial I decided I wanted to make one so I went to the thrift store in my area to find a shirt... when I saw this one I knew it was perfect!! and only $1.99 also!! I love how easy it was to make also!! I'm totally going to be making more for her also!!

I made soemthign else also... here's a lil' back story on this dress!
So Chris (my DH) is picky when it comes to boxers/underwear... and he got these as a gift a few years ago.. He may have worn them once (if that) and then they have sat in the dresser drawer ever since. I was doing the typical spring cleaning yesterday and going through all of our clothing and came across them and thought wow this pattern/print is cute.. maybe I can make something for Reina out of them! and I did just that! I made her a lil' sundress for the summer time since she doesn't have alot for summer clothing yet... it was super easy and turned out better than I expected! although I think the straps could have been a closer to the center/one another! I don't sew very often , but I think I did pretty good on these dresses- Surprisingly Hubby think the dresses are adorable also(especially the flames and skulls one) & he thinks it's pretty neat they they were both "recycled" and she has a dress made from his boxers...LOL

LOL hopefully your slogan isnt something about using old undies!!:neener: No thats a great way to recycle though!!! It really is! Play clothes for kids are a must, so what they were made out of isnt a big thing at all.
