Last night the chinnies came out for their nightly playtime, my mom had been doing my nans hair with one of them full head hair dryer thingies and i thought she had put it away when she left the room but no she left it on the chair and it had fallen behind. My bf heard Lola nibbling so he went to investigate and we found that Lola had chewed through the wire of the dryer. Not only do i feel really guilty for not checking first but im also kind of mad at my mom because she knew it was the chinnies playtime and knows how harmful it can be.

Do you think Lola will be ok, her poop is normal and shes acting normal but she chewed right through the the wire and copper ? :hair:

Was it plugged in? If not then she wasn't shocked. Keep watching her poos and notice if she starts acting lethargic or differently than usual. Make sure she has plenty of fresh hay and water.

It wasnt plugged in, i will keep an eye on her and give her lots of fresh hay and water. Thanks

Check her face and mouth for burns. If she doesn't have any, she will probably be just fine. If there is irritation or other signs of burning, take her to the vet and get her checked.

To the OP, I agree with everyone else. Just keep an eye on the poopies. As long as she is eating, pooing, and acting like a normal chinchilla she is fine.
