Ok so last night we were all out on my floor (me and the boys that is) and they were running around having a good time. Over me, the chair, in the cage out of the cage, up the sides of the walls etc.....then big daddy kacked at little man and little man flew over him and jumped on his back and literally pounced off him.
Is it little man (he is big daddy's kit and weighs a whopping 125grams) being a teenager, asserting dominance..............? ANy ideas? Anyone think it's going to turn into a problem?
They're still cuddling together, eating together, running on the saucer together etc.

Cagemates get irritated at each other, whether they have been together 2 days or 2 years. Little Man is probably more rambunctious that big daddy wanted to deal with at the moment. As long as it does not turn into a real fight, they should be fine.

Trish just keep a close eye on the two of them. I have a caged due Bobo and GiGi--Bobo is GiGi's mom and there are times Bobo definitely lets GiGi know who's boss. This could be the same thing you're seeing. As long as there is no fur flying or signs of blood it could be just that--Big Daddy showing who's boss. Like Jeremy said just because chinchillas get along for years does not mean that someday they may not. You just need to keep a close eye on them.

It seems a little like "piss off" and little man just said :neener: they seem to be doing well now no arguments. Little man is getting more active as he grows and a more affectionate. Big daddy likes to sit on my foot (not sure if he's violating it yet) and little man pushes his way in. I think it just pisses him off. I'll keep a close eye on them
