Hello!

I have read around about some people getting a dish and putting the bedding in there. Do most chins take to this and actually use it? what exactly do I do for it?

some do, some dont and some do some of the time! lol
i use the cake pans from the dollar store they are metal and once they get nasty, i toss them. if i had the money, i would switch to the glass pyrex ones.
i just fill mine with the shavings and hope for the best. usually put it in the corner you find pee.
if you are currently using shavings, you can take a clump that has urine on it and put that in there so they get the hint........if you are using fleece, well its kinda hard to get the sample.
even if they pee in it some of the time, it will elimate some of the odor. i change mine in some cages every day if they really use it and others it stays in there maybe 2 days.

We are on day 5 of pan-training here. I found a $7 Pyrex dish at Walmart. I started out putting some of the aspen shavings that she had urinated on into the pan, along with some fresh shavings. Every night I have been cleaning out most of the pan, but leaving a bit of the used shavings in, just to reinforce the habit. I did find a wet spot on the fleece last night, so I know she's not using the pan 100% of the time though. :coffin:

Most chins don't use it 100% of the time so don't get discouraged. Even my most avid litter box pee'ers decide they don't want to use it every once in awhile. :p
