Just wanted to share that I got a fourth chin today! About two years ago my friend asked my mom if we would watch her chinchilla. She agreed, thinking of the chia pet plants. :hilarious:. We fell in love with her and kept her for five months while their house was on the market. About a month after she left, I brought Annie and Shadow home. Cindy came last year. She told me a few weeks ago that her mom had decided they needed to rehome Lilly. My mom inisted on NO MORE CHINS so I tried to get her to contact a rescue about an hour away... she said she'd look into it. Yesterday the little girl I give riding lessons to told me her mom said she could get a chin. I was ecstatic (she's an extremely responsible eleven year old and would have made an awesome chinny mom). My friend said she'd already had to take her to a pet store. We went "Just to check on her." She had been placed with another female chin and the two seemed to be doing fine together but once I was holding her I couldn't put her back. The owner, whom has been a family friend for years, offered almost half off and I couldn't say no! I'm hoping to bond her with Cindy after her qaurentine, so we'll see how that goes. Lil is extremely laid back, like Shadow, and Cindy gets along fine with Shadow during joint playtime so I'm very hopeful that things will work out. :)

Such a nice story :) so glad she is at home with you.
Keep us posted how are they all getting along and share pics. How big is your cage?

I will! The cage the will be sharing (fingers crossed) is a two level FN. Lilly is currently in a much smaller cage where my friend kept her but I've updated it with a hammock, wood house, hay rack and chew toys. My brother is going to make her some shelves tonight. She will be fine temporarily with a daily playtime :)

She's settled in awesome! Aside from demolishing the top of her new wood house but at least she's chewing! Here's a pick of her from this morning.

Lilly and Cindy have had about five hours together so far. We had a few tiffs after I removed the barrier separating them but they are currently snuggling and grooming each other.
