I have a 3 year old male who, for the last day or so has been getting more and more lethargic. After taking him out tonight he seems almost weak, when he would go to change direction he would fall over onto his side... the only change I've made recently is introducing a litter pan with aspen bedding in it...

I don't know what to do and the only vet in town that specializes in exotic pets doesn't have an emergency number. :( any advice would be amazing and truly appreciated. Thanks

I am sorry but we cannot really help you online - there are so many possibilities of what could be wrong but if your chinchilla has been acting lethargic for 3 days he needs a vet now.
A lethargic chin is a poorly chin - they hide illness until they cannot physically do it any more.

Please see if you can find an emergency vet.

BTW how hot is the room the chin is in? Does he have read/pink ears?

Has he been eating, drinking, peeing, pooping?
