Lava ledges safe for chins?

I have seen them in Petsmart and I was wondering if they are safe for chins? I have read a little about them online, but wasn't sure if they were chin safe? Do chins like them?

lava bites (the triangle shaped ones in a 3 pack) get devoured by Rhino within hours of being put in his cage! lol. i think if i bought lava ledges he'd have them gnawed down to a nub by morning.

The lava ledges last a lot longer than the lava bites. I have a girl that turns the bites into dust in under 5 minutes. The ledges take her weeks or even months to destroy.

Definitely safe. I have like 4 and my chins love them and also like to chew on them as well hehe

One of the only safe petstore items.. I have a problem with the lava ledges though. Tribble loves them, but no matter what I do, they always seem to come apart from the screw piece. I leave it in the cage anyways and he still chews away at it...

Hehe! One of my really "sweet" boys insisted on sitting on the edge of his ledge and eating away at the base.Yup, you guessed it -he chewed through and fell with the remnant!Hilarious but he seriously destroyed that ledge in not quite 4 days!

Wow 4 days! Mine last forever - and the dots last a while too. The triangle bits are gone in a few hours however.

I actually need more of those, my chins love them! and yeah they do last awhile, but every now and then I get one that isn't secure--too be safe check and make sure they're all the way tight, and don't put them at a dangerous height.
