After my silkie's passage i never thought to have another chinnie, but today my heart was won by a fuzzy little sweetheart by the name of Kishi.
She is a Violet i belive, and her ears are a bit chewed and bald, it looks like she had some problems with a cagemate nibbling her ears.
she's a sweetheart, she let me hold her whe we met, something silkie never ever let me do, she's giving a pfe test nips and nibbles and one good test bite, but nothing painful, and no broken skin, she was actually very careful,i could see that, she has a GORGEOUS tail.
here's a picture:)

She's cute! Not a violet though, she's a tan if her belly is the same color as her back, which is what it looks like to me.

Congratulations, Kishi is a cutie, glad she found you :). Watch for signs of plastic chewing :).

Yes, congratulations! So happy she found you and you her. I'm sure you're going to get alot of good advice here and read up on the FAQ's, alot of helpful and important info :)

Yup, looks like i was mistaken, she's a tan:D either way she's a cutie,i definately will keep an eye out for chewing, right now she has several chew toys that she seems more interested in than her ledges, altho she nibbled the sleep ledge, mostly she nibbles my fingers LOL

Yes, and she's very cute. :)

If you aren't already, though, I would save up to buy a new, larger cage. Plastic cages are definitely not preferred, as chewing it can cause some huge internal problems and she may do it when you're not around/sleeping. :)

Check the evil craigslist for FN cages. I searched, searched, and searched and finally found a FN for a good price 3 1/2 hours away. You might get lucky and find one exactly in your area. Ferret Nations are awesome cages. Cat75 sells some pretty nifty chew toys, I just got mine in the mail today and the chins have gnawed them crazy. Pumice stone seems to be a favorite of theirs as well =] Good luck!

i have a much larger cage that i'm in the process of cleaning out,one that i had just gotten for silkie:(but since i don't know what made her ill,i'm hesitant, there are some nice martin's cages on Chin World that i was thinking of pinching some pennies for,i want her to have more jumping room than she has, so this cage is temporary, plus we are getting her a large 6 foot by six foot playpen for her to play in tommorow so she'll have lots of room.

thank you all! she is really coming out of her shell now, she was actually climbing on me and sitting on my arm when i was cleaning her cage, she's so sweet, silkie never let me hold her,so the fact the she actually climed onto my arm and let me hold her next to my chest for a moment is a very pleasant surprise
