I know a common question but summer is rolling around and last year my electric bill was usually $250 a month and it sucks,

recently i bought 1 tile thing from petsmart, but i read a fan and ice in front acts like an air conditioner i might try that

I have a temp thing but i think it does work too well and will buy a new one

I just want to keep them cool, and keep cost down is 74 degrees to high? And I am in Lincoln NE where there is humidity so please help as i redo the cage and get ready for the summer heat.

Nothing can really replace an airconditioner to be honest and the cost is one thing you have to remember about when buying a chinchilla as they struggle to do in warm temperatures. 65F is a nice temperature to keep your chins room at year round.

75F-80F isn't really good...Especially 75+ degrees which can prove fatal.
