Just wondering something

I am waiting for the stuff that I ordered for my soon to be pet chinchilla and I got the cage and the fleece stuff said it can take up to 2 weeks to get here but I haven't heard or seen anything about this site.

I was just wondering if anyone knew about how long it takes for shipping from that site. It has almost been a week since I ordered it all(last Friday). I am just worried that I wont have anything when its time to go pick up my chinchilla.

Also I am sorry for asking so much stuff on here. I just want everything to be safe and perfect for my chinchilla.

First, while I've never heard of the site so have no experience with them they DO appear to have some nice products. Something to consider, this time of year shipping is DEAD SLOW. Everyone is shipping right now, because it's the holiday season, so stuff takes MUCH longer than usual unless you pay for priority in which case it will arrive in a few days. Best of luck, good job locating chin safe products...sorry it's a bad time of year for shipping and I hope it arrives in time!

That really isn't all that much time. If you ordered it on Friday, they may have only processed the order. Weekends usually aren't taken into consideration for shipping and/or order processing. It also depends on what kind of shipping you paid for. Priority takes 2-3 days, standard ground shipping by Fedex or UPS can take 5-10 days usually. So even if they got it shipped on Monday, it's only Wednesday...it is also the holidays so there are much more packages being shipped this time of year.

I haven't heard of the site, however.

I got it all as priority shipping. which is why I was hoping it would have gotten here already since the cage got here yesterday. Hopefully it gets here tomorrow.

I was unaware of that 3 day max thing. also I just realized what I ordered will not all fit in the mail so it will probably be coming in UPS which gets here around 7 so maybe it will come today!!!

Also, as long as you have a cage, the appropriate bedding/liners, good pellets, hay and a chew-proof water bottle I wouldn't stress too much about having the "perfect" cage set-up before your chin arrives--when I picked up Mips, those were the only supplies he had, plus a little wooden hut for him to hide in and some chin-safe willow sticks I grabbed at the pet store. Initially, I just used bottom-heavy ceramic bowls that I had around to hold hay and pellets until I was able to swap them out for pet-specific (and stylish!) ones.

I know there are some super amazing cage set-ups on this forum, but I'm slowly filling his cage with toys, accessories and ledges as my own budget and timeframe allows--and as far as I can tell he's comfy, safe, and we're bonding and getting along great. It's wonderful that you're taking the time to research and set up a safe, comfortable home for your future chin, but also remember to relax and look forward to your fuzzy's arrival!

I only got what I felt was the necessities and the stuff I got from there are, in my opinion, important to have. I got the hay holder, and a shelf, and also I got the litter pan. I know there not NEEDED since the hut I got my it is made of hay and I can always get shelves latter but I feel they are still important. I am mostly just wondering how long I will have to wait for this stuff since the fleece liners aren't here yet either which I ordered the same day. I guess it really isn't to important actually, as I am typing this I am realizing that lol

I've never heard of that site either, so I have no idea how long their shipping takes, but if it says 1 to 2 weeks, I imagine it could take another week to get to you, or even another week to be shipped out. Have you emailed them to ask when your order may be shipped?

Most of what I sell I have in stock, so the majority of my orders will ship out within 24 hours. Some stores either have their items drop shipped (they have a distributor that they order from and the distributor ships the items to you), or they don't have it in stock and pick it up from the distributor when you order it - both of which take a little longer to ship.

Not sure if you mentioned this but if there are any custom items that are only made when someone orders them than that could possibly delay your order a bit. I believe that website is owned by Therese, not sure if she is a member here or what her username is either, sorry. She is known for the corner metal pans of which I have 3 of but I got them several years ago.

I actually messaged her yesterday and she replied fast and shipped it right after. She said it will probably get here on Saturday.

You could always just shoot them an email and ask if they have your tracking info??? Then you'll know exactly what is going on.
