So yesterday, I took out all the ledges and the marble/granite slabs to be cleaned. Took them outside, sanded the wooden ledges, then scrubbed everything down with a 50/50 white vinegar & water mix. Then let everything in the hot, hot sun to dry.

Put everything in about an hour ago, and my one girl is obsessed with the ledges now. Sniffing the undersides, sniffing the tops, like she's never seen them before.

Is this normal? Thanks!

I would think it'd be fine. She probably smells the vinegar on the ledges and has to sniff to investigate.

Too late to edit... wanted to add, when we cleaned our shelves... not even with vinegar, but just some soapy water... the chins acted like they were in a completely new cage, sniffing around, exploring... so I think maybe the smell does make a big difference to them.

Awesome, I was just wondering. Bessie is a freak anyways, but I wasn't sure if she would get sick or something.

By the way, Greychins, I LOVE your little signature thing about being a blocky female. :D

I don't think I've ever heard someone call their chin a freak, LOL.

Well, you don't know Bessie... She is most definitely female, but she absolutely LOVES curling up on your hand/feet and humping at them for awhile. She also enjoys hanging upside down between two ledges. She loves to cuss at everyone all the time. The list goes on...
