Hi all. I know I haven't been on here for a while. It's just that my whole world has turned upside down. If you remember, I last posted that I could not make it to the Spring show in Ventura because my husband was sick. Well, what started as a cold (or so we thought), put him in the hospital with a bad case of pneumonia. While there, the doctors ran all kinds of tests and discovered that the cause of the pneumonia was actually lung cancer which had already spread to the lymph nodes on both sides of the spine and to the back of his skull. There was nothing that the doctors could do for him. We brought him home so he could be with us and not strangers when he passed. The majority of his family was here as well as my own parents. He passed away on the 11th.

As a result of his passing, the decision was made to move back to Aurora, Colorado where I was born and raised. The chinchillas will be going with me as will the rest of my little zoo. I need them to help keep me sane. This will be a big undertaking as I will need to make an extra trip from California to Colorado, but I think it is worth it.

For those of you who have made it through my little tale, I thank you for letting me bend your ears (so to speak).

My heart goes out to you Cuddlebug. Very sorry. Not much I can say to ease things for you, but am here to read you when you need.

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. Good luck in your move.

Sorry for your loss. I only met him a few times the last time was at our house. Hoping your move goes great. There are some shows in CO maybe you can make it to those.

Thanks, guys. I really appreciate it. I keep expecting to turn around an see him there behind me. I sometimes feel like this is all a bad dream and can't be really happening.

Nan, the chinchillas and shows were part of my decision to go back to Colorado.that and I have family in Aurora. The other options I had would have put me in a place that had no branch for the chinchillas.

oh my gosh that is so sudden it must feel unreal. I reccomend making an appointment for counsiling. That is a heavy load of greif to process and I reccomend doing it with an expert.

I know the actor Liam Neeson lost his wife in a sudden ski accident, he talks about it in quite a few interviews and he is very good at articulating his feelings I assume because he is an actor. Maybe it will be comforting to hear someone talk about how they felt. He has a lot of inteviews on the net and youtube
