Hello,

I used the Blue Cloud dust yesterday for the first time on Woodrow and he's been itching pretty consistently all day today. Could that dust be irritating his skin?

Thanks!

Is it possible the dust came from a place that might have gotten something in it? I've never known blue cloud to make anybody itch before, unless they were given too many dust baths.

He only gets 2-3 baths a week, maybe the dust is contaminated. I'll have to buy some more. I'll hold off on baths for a bit and see if he stops. What else could cause his itching? I've also noticed its mainly after we pet him.
Thanks for all your help!

Are you sure he is itching and not just grooming? How much itching would you call a lot? How long do you leave the dust bath in? Maybe lay off baths for 5-6 days, too much dusting can cause itchyness

The dust bath stays down for maybe 2-3 minutes. He rolls around a few times and then he comes out and he's done. He just scratches away with his back feet. On his sides and head, pretty much wherever they'll reach. I considered it was just grooming, but what alarmed me was that it came on suddenly, he never did it as much before. When he's awake I'd say he scratches both sides and at least one ear every few minutes. I'm definitely going to lay off the dust baths and buy some new dust for when he starts up again.
