I already own it, but I use it for my bunny. Would it be okay for 1 chinchilla, if I move the bunny out, and add some toys?

I cant see anything wrong with it, but you would need to get rid of all the plastic and have wooden shelves put in. Definatly add some wood toys

I've actually got the same cage for my chinchilla. He came with it, so we've slowly been making it acceptable. He doesn't chew plastic, but those plastic shelves are flimsy and a pain to clean.

If you have the wire bottom still, I would take it out, just because it's unnecessary to have, and they can be in the bedding instead. Since only one door opens and it's a pull out pan, I don't know how easy it would be to have the pan replaced, but covering it with fleece liners (if your chinchilla doesn't chew them, should take care of the problem.
