Is she fur chewing?

i have bought my chinchilla for 1 week, I have seen her chowing her fur sometimes, but mostly just for 1 second, I am not sure she skin itches or she is fur chewing.

and I have look at her fur carefully, it look fine.

If it looks fine she is just doing normal grooming.

If she is starting to have "fur chewing" tendencies, you would notice that her fur would look very "choppy". As if a 3 yr old took scissors to the fur.

From your description, it sounds like she is just grooming herself normally.
