Hi I am a fairly new owner to my chin (Hacuna) and I know Ox Bow is the best brand to buy him. Although I went to Tractor Supply and I got LM FARMS Alfalfa and alfalfa chews and I just wanted to know if this is another good brand? I know that Kaytee is the worst! Well that's what I was told anyways? Thank you if anyone could help? This is my first time on this website, so I look forward to talking with you all

I base hay quality more on looks rather than brands, but some hay brands are just consistently bad. In my experience with LM Farms, their hay is always brown, old, and dusty. What type of pellets are you feeding? Generally alfalfa hay should be given in moderation and you should rather be feeding a timothy or other type of grass hay. Alfalfa is very rich and high in calcium. If you are feeding an alfalfa based pellet, you should be giving timothy/grass hay.
