I had an issue with the pet store giving me a female and a male chinchilla versus 2 males. Found out when the baby was born. Since then the girls have been seperated from the boy.
I was looking to neuter my male, so I could have them all live together and not worry about more babies coming into the mix. Him and his daughter have not really spent much time together since she was born. Recently I have started letting them see each other through cage bars. (Again I do not want tons of breeding!) He is his usual sweet self, but the daughter is biting at him and acting kind of aggressive. If the mom tries to greet him, the daughter interferes and starts barking at the mom and acting aggressive.
Is this normal behavior? Do I just need to have more patience or will the daughter always remain aggressive since the females are not spayed?
If the daughter will always be aggressive I will keep them seperated and just love the boy up more.
