Introducing Chinchillas

We have had our girl chinchilla Minnie for 2 1/2 years since she was 10 weeks old. We just got a second chinchilla, an 11 month old male named Chubbs. We have them in cages next to each other and they seem disinterested in eachother. Any personalized advice?

Are you wanting kits? I assume so because I'm sure at the age of 23, you understand that male + female = baby. If you're not, they shouldn't be close together, period. If you are...did your chins come from reputable breeders? Have they been evaluated?

Do you plan on putting them in the same cage eventually?
