Hi Everyone,
I have been a reader of C-N-Q for quite awhile now - lots of good info : ) but this is my first post.
My name is Sophia Bates and I am from Michigan as well - Spring Lake / Fruitport - about mid way up on Lake Michigan.
I have chins for about 4 years and I really enjoy them. They make me smile everyday - : )
Unfortunately, I have been delaying this, but I have to place them.
My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last year - but hasn't been doing well for sometime now. She lives with us and for the past year or so has done some things that have endangered my chinnies. Also, the time it is taking to care for her has relegated my babies to their cages about 95% of time :( I have 4 chins - 3 girls and one boy. One beige F - one BV male and 2 brown velvet kits. The kits are a result of the male and female being let out of their cages when mom was trying to " help. "
The kits are beautiful and were born in August -it was a big surprise to us !
I really want them to have experienced homes with fellow chin lovers. This is very hard.
Sorry, I went on so long and I would appreciate any advice : ) BTW - the cages are locked now.
Thanks,
Sophia

Welcome Sophia. I'm sorry, it sure sounds like you have your hands full. If you are looking for homes for your chins, you should post them in the classifieds section. People will see them here, but not as many, and not necessarily people who are actively looking for chins.

Welcome to CnH That's too bad you have to rehome your chins. Hopefully you can find them a good loving home.

Hi Sophia,

My mom has Alzheimers also, so I can definitely sympathize with you. I'm so sorry you need to re-home your chins, but I think it's very good of you to be thinking of their welfare when you have your hands so full. I'm sure you'll be able to find them a wonderful, loving home.

Thanks Everyone. I am dreading this. - I would much rather be talking chins with you all... I guess I will list them in the classified section and hope for the best.

I'm so sorry you have to rehome your chinnies but it sounds like you have your hands full with your mom and it sounds like this would be the best solution for the well-being of your chins. A lot of good people are on this forum and if anyone can take in another, your chins would be guaranteed to have a good home. Good luck!

Re; Intro / advice

Hi Everyone,

Found a great new home for my chins. The people came yesterday and picked them up. I am sad for me and happy for them. Thanks Everyone for the well wishes. I am very glad I found this group.

Sincerely,

Sophia

I'm glad you found a good home for the chins! And so sorry about everything you're going through right now - good luck!
