The past few months have been terribly hard and stressful. It seems like its one emergency with my pets after another. In July my chinchilla, Phillip, died. In August my 13 year old dog passed away from cancer, and my mom's shihtzu was diagnosed with stage three kidney disease. Our rescue dog died after nine days due to kidney failure. Two weeks ago my puppy had to be rushed to the emergency vet with a blockage. In the past few days my mom's dog has refused to eat.
Today I had to rush my poodle to the vet, she was limping. The vet found out she was running a fever, and is currently running a blood panel to see if it finds anything, she tested negative for lymes disease. And she may need X-rays.
That will run about $300.
My family has easily spent over $1500 since July on vet bills.
I'm not sure what to do. I'm going to figure something out to get my dog her xrays if she needs then. My vet fund is depleted and then some. I tried raising the credit limit on my credit cards, but was denied. I have carecredit, but my vet does not take it.
I'm thinking about closing a retirement fund I opened about three years ago and seeing what I can get from that. It should be a few hundred at least. I forgot about the account for years. I won't be investing anything else into it, so...
Sorry for the rant!
I'm just wondering when this bad luck streak is going to end. Maybe I need a lucky rabbit's foot?
