You work in McDonalds and the manager is letting you bring animals into work? This has got to contravene a whole raft of health and safety laws as well as basic environmental hygiene laws.

You should not be taking these animals into work with you.

I would have to agree with Claire D. This would violate health and hygiene codes that all food service must follow.

didn't you just get 2 gliders?? girl you got your hands full over there. hope you can handle!

i agree, if you do work in the food industry, it really isnt healthy for anyone involved, including the gliders. if one gets loose, well i dont even want to think about "fried suggies"

I agree with Claire. Also, since you are new to gliders, I'm not sure taking on babies that must have constant care is a good idea. IMO it would be better if they went to someone more experienced with gliders, especially raising babies...

I hate to say it, but that's just disgusting. We hear enough horror stories about the crap that goes on in restaurants (and my ex used to tell me some doozies from when he worked there), I don't want to know that people are allowing employees in the food services industry to bring animals in to work.

Seriously, that makes me ill. There is absolutely nothing hygienic about having an animal in a food preparation setting. If you can't be home to provide the care that these guys need, then find someone who can be. Don't subject other people to your whims by exposing their food to an animal. Whether you keep it in your shirt or not, and I have a real hard time believing that's going to work, it's very easy to transport things on your shirt. Where are you going to feed them? Are you going to to outside into your car? If not, then you're feeding an animal in a food establishment.

Just - ick.

I'm very surprised a manager in McDonald's would agree to allowing you to take them into the restaurant. He'es setting himself up for being fined by the health board and potentially being fired. I think it would be just about impossible to hide them for very long and someone is going to find out.

Having had baby hedgies in my bra, this is going to be very unhygienic or else you will be off washing your hands every few minutes. Babies don't stay put and you will constantly need to be touching them. Either you will constantly be off washing your hands which is going to draw attention to yourself, or you will be handling peoples food after handling the babies. I agree with Peg. ICK!
