It is so weird seeing the mommas sitting up like that. I'm used to seeing moms laying on their side all stretched out for nursing or standing up like a horse. Kits sure have to be strong to find a nipple.

Their nipples are actually farther up than you'd think. They're just above the belly line, not on the belly like most other mammals. And they're long and needle-like, so it's just a matter of pushing the fur out of the way.

Though some chin moms do lay out like a buffet. =p

Here are two cutes and OLD ones. Mama's fur is pretty rough, she had pododermatitis (sp?) so had no bath for a long while.
