if she does have fungus what can I do how can I really tell there are no red spots like they said
I know my picture isnt the best Im sorry

I use critter bath powder by the way Im wondering because someone said that if its not the other kind her chinchilla was losing fur could this be it too?

It could be her just rubbing her nose on the bars. It's really hard to tell in that picture. Get a better picture so we can actually see the spot in question. Does she have any furless spots around her ears or eyes? Usually when they scratch their ears fungus can spread around the ears, nose and eyes.

If you use Flowers of Sulfur (Sulfur) and mix it in with her dust that will cure fungus. Mix 1/2 cup to 50 lbs of dust. You can figure the amounts out but that's what I was told so I mix up the whole 50 lb bag. There are a lot of other "cures" but I've not had any luck with them until I was told about the Sulfur by a big rancher in CA.

Good luck!

Couple years back I had a chin who did get fungus. Started around his nose. I knew he was not a "bar biting" animal. I scrubbed his cage with just soap and water. Including his wood ledges, house....the works.

When all the wood surfaces were dry I dusted them with a light dusting of DESENEX POWDER. Used my hand to smooth it all around. Keep in mind its a light dusting. I then added the powder to his blue cloud dust. Maybe a tablespoon and dusted him EVERYDAY for a week. Cleaned the dust out after each use and used the same formula. DO NOT SHARE THE DUSTER WITH ANY OTHER ANIMAL!!! ( I know you only have one chin...but someone with more animals needs to know this)

I know that I washed the wood surfaces again the following week and dusted them. ( its hard to remember the time frame )

In the summer I use the same formula about once or twice a month for my entire herd. It is very humid here.
Good luck. Lets hope its just bar biting instead. But do follow up with a picture. I'm not an expert with fungal treatment. And I've never used the sulfur product. I'll have to educate myself on that product. Glad it was posted.

to be honest with you I live in the Desert where Humidity doesnt exist. I tried to get another picture but shes being a brat Im just wondering what are the signs I should be looking for for fungus? Also I see her bar bite whenever I come in and shes awake she pushes her face against the bars like Hi daddy! My real question is What do I do am I a bad father?

Do you have wood products for her to chew on? Sometimes a bar chewer will rub the top of their nose and just continually wear out the fur on the nose. This usually happens with cages with 1/2 X 1" wire. If you had a 1 x 1 wire she wouldn't be able to rub the top of her nose on the wire.

Sounds like she wants your attention when she comes to the front of the cage like that.

You can actually hold her still while you take just a "nose" picture.

Ill try to I got her so many wood toys its not even funny plus a wheel I didnt really know if she wanted my attention of not cause before i tried to talk to her and pet her and she glared at me. I know this now its just certain nights I dont see her till 10 or 11ish I just wanna make sure shes ok before I get her a friend

I took your advice and played with her when I got home shes happy then afterwards I gave her scritches she doesnt glare anymore but how do I really tell if shes happy cause I dont wanna be a bad daddy
