...and for some reason I never thought to share! I got it two summers ago on a whim as my first tattoo, and only a few months after I had owned my first chinchilla, Snoops.

He is in flames 1. because I think of him as invincible: my friend found him (in a small cage) in his dumpster one day when he was taking out his trash! Can you imagine? And 2. because when I was a new owner and did not know any better, Snoops chewed through some major electrical cords and somehow lived. I regret not being knowledgeable before owning him...but he has inspired me, to say the least.

I wish he looked a little more chinchilla-like, but I think it captures well though how little I knew about chins when I got it. LONG LIVE SNOOPS :D

wow thats awesome!. He has quite the story, i think he deffinately deserves a tattoo just for him!

Nice tatoo! I can't believe someone just threw him away! Thank goodness he was found and has a second chance at a better life with you!

ive seen some terrible tattoos of animals in my life but this is one was done very well and the story behind it makes it even better and more personal :] very cute

Cool tat. How did you explain what a chin is to the dude who did the tattoo...."You want a what?!"

Well it was definitely funny! I don't think it even surprised him much though, tattoo artists must see it all. I showed him a few pictures from my phone and then he googled them quickly, and then he just drew it based off of that. Being a newbie at tattoos, I had no idea I had the option of them scanning it to a different size (I thought he'd have to redraw it!) so I didn't say I wanted it smaller even though that was how I was feeling. I'm glad now though that it's the size it is. It took two sessions. Snoops deserves it!

O my gosh! well that's definitely an interesting series of events. the person who threw him in the trash should be tarred and feathered and then thrown into a trash compactor, but it's good that he was lucky enough to find someone to love him and take care of him. I bet you could win a lot of bar bets with that tatoo!
