First of all, after I heard that plastic ball is bad for him, I get rid of it yesterday. Thanks everyone for this information!

I have my chin in the living room, and last couple of days I let him out playing in the living room. He seems to like it and like to be around me. Anyway, the living room is connected to the kitchen. So when I cooked, it smells everywhere in that room. I wonder if there is any kind of smell that could hurt him? like grease or something like that?

Another question, I took him out yesterday by have him in the carrier. He seems to like it because when I let him out and run around he still run back to the carrier. THe thing i realize from this is that the trip was about 30 mins and from the clean carrier he has pooped more than 10 pieces!!!! Is this normal?? I also notice that from his cage. He poops soooo much! And I take it as a healthy sign. Right? The poops look normal though. And he sure eat a lot too.

Thanks

Many people keep their chins out in the open by the rest of the family, smells from the kitchen shouldn't harm your chin. I would only be worried about any chemical smells versus house smells, but seeing as you're only cooking and things it shouldn't be an issue.

And yes, they poop a lot! If they stop pooping is when you worry. Generally the more, the merrier lol, so long as they aren't squishy and are normal looking :))

My chin is in the living room too, and I cook a lot. No smells seem to bother him, even frying stuff, and he likes to hear the TV too. When I first got my chin home I was so shocked how much he pooped, but they're easy to pick up anyway and it means a healthy chin I understand, so it's all good!
After having him 2 months I realized he eats (or throws, or poops in) around 1/2 pound of pellets a week. "Eat a pellet, make a pellet" seems to be the chin motto. :D :D
