I've hand my current chin, Paco, for a while now and I was wondering how I introduce and bond him with my two new chins that are already bonded? Please help, thank you!

First and foremost you need to do a 30 day quarantine. This means the new chins need to be in a completely separate room from your current chinchilla, no shared playtimes, washing between handling, changing clothes between rooms, etc. It takes 30 days on average for contagious diseases to present themselves in chinchillas. Even if the chins are coming from a reputable source, it is best to do the 30 days.

After that there are numerous methods of introduction, but you won't need to worry about any of that for a month.

Like Tabitha said you need to quarantine for a month in a completely separate cage in a different room.

When people talk about introducing a new chin to an already bonded pair, I always like to mention this. Keep in mind that introducing a new chinchilla to two that are already bonded may cause the bonded pair to turn on one another. The presence of a new chin is confusing and may upset the dominance hierarchy. The bonded pair could begin fighting, causing you to have 3 single chins instead of 3 bonded chins.

It can be done, but this has happened several times in my experience.

You can search for introduction methods. There have been many on here already discussed. Personally I like the cage-by-cage and then the small cage within a larger cage method.

I agree. I'm currently emailing with someone who had this happen - she tried to introduce a third chin to a bonded pair and now none of them can be together, so she ended up with 3 cages. Think long and hard (after quarantine) about whether or not this is something you want to deal with.

The two she is getting from me to add to her current chin are a father/son pairing - son is 10 weeks old. I believe her chin is young as well. I advised the father, as the oldest of the bunch, would likely be the source of trouble if there is some, although I think the chances are probably in her favor of them getting along since two are quite young. But as with any pairing, bonded, new or old, there is always a chance they could eventually not get along for one reason or another.
