Today my boyfriend and I bought a house! I'm so excited! I have so many things to do now too! I wish I could take a month off of work to work on it!!! But now I can get a puppy! Another chin or 2 :p Give the chins a nice big play area in the cellar!!!

Congratulations! Your first house is always so exciting!

Do we get to see pictures?

Congratulations. Please, please, please make sure you have a legal document written up about ownership, since you are not married. I have had a few friends in really bad situations when the relationship ended. Always best to be protected.

Congrats!!! I remember when I got my house about 7-8 years ago and it is very exciting. And yes you never have to worry about a landlord telling you that you can't have pets, it's great. I always had pets and more than one, but never imagined I would have 8 at once and I love it.

SO enjoy, go get as many pets as you want and no one can ever say anything to you about it and enjoy your new house.:dance3:

Congrats again.

Congrats Sue! Please let us know when the housewarming is so we can all take a road trip LOL! It can be your first house party with tons of sleepover guests!
I 3rd and 4th the pictures request!

Thanks everyone! I wish I had my camera today! It sprinkled out a little, then there was a huge rainbow! It felt so perfect and pretty! I'll take some photos soon :)

My parents mowed my lawn for me (we don't have a mower yet) and helped me rake up all the leaves and brought me tomato plants, pepper plants and basil to plant in my garden! My boyfriends stepdad came over and painted a ceiling in the bedroom and got a coat of wall paint on for us today too! We got the living room ceiling done and one coat of paint on the accent wall I wanted, one hallway ceiling painted, ripped up some fake grass outside, weeded the front yard.

Everything takes so much longer than you think it will tho! But I'm loving it :)

Congrats!!! A house is such an exciting purchase! You'll never be bored again - there's always something that needs to be done!!! It sounds like you are getting a lot of help around the place and that's wonderful. Your first bbq or invite dinner will be a great moment, too. No more throwing your money away, now you're building a future!
