my mom just bought me a bunch of fleece im not interested in making liners because i will be ordering them from a member as soon as i get the money together..i was interested in learning how to make the pvc tubes, im ordering a few from a different member also but after that id like to make my own..

pvc tubes and any other chinchilla accessories that you all know how to make i would greatly appreciate it if you all could show me how to do them or give me ideas...i have ALOT of fleece and no ideas on what to do with it lol.. :)

Making a tube cover is pretty simple. For a 6" wide x 10" long tube - you want to cut a piece of fleece around 14" x 16" (give or take, I've never really measured the exact size because I go by the size of the tube I have on hand). Fold the piece in half and sew down one side of it (make sure that the right side of the fleece is on the inside). Then you fold back about 2" of the inside of the fleece onto the outside (like rolling) and sew two lines around that edge. Take the fleece and stick it inside of your tube and then turn it around the tube.

Here is how I made my hammock pattern. I took a small candle and traced on a piece of cardboard two circles about 10 inches apart. Then connected the center with a arch and came down to a straight line on each side. I cut the pattern out with a drywall knife (exacto, you can even use scissors).

To make them any length just trace on the fleece, flip the pattern to the length you want and connect it with a straight line. Be sure to sew on the backside of the fabric on both sides or when you turn it inside out the back will be showing.

It is easiest to leave your hole in the straight part of the hammock, to turn it inside out and do your hand sewed seam.
