I think Home Depot just became my favorite store EVER!!!! I've been bugging, and bugging hubby to make me some melamine weanling/holding cage. I was at Home Depot getting wood for houses and such, and came across discounted melamine! I found 2 pieces of melamine approx 4x4 for less than $3 a board! Woohooo! I now have 2 new weanling cages for under $25 in material. They will be about 20 wide, and 4 feet deep, with removable dividers.
Hubby bless his heart isn't about details like I am, and put the front door on backwards. Guess he thought the chins would enjoy eating all the pine! An easy fix, but I can't wait to get them finished, and decorate!

i've been considering building a melamine cage, since i'd really like to have something big that semi matches my bedroom decor (beech wood and white with a beach motif).

I would love to see pictures too! My man is handy but we so far have purchased our chins cages. When we get a house (we rent right now) though I'd really like to build something!
