My name is zach i am 16 years old from California i am a photographer and outdoors and animal lover. i got a chinchilla about 3 months ago and now i am looking to improve our wonderful relation ship and his house and toys. My little guys name is TJ he loves to come out of the cage and play. He is my dogs best friend and she is his he loves her very much and loves to be out with her. he loves to be held and run around as of right now he is laying on my back. i am looking foward to sharing him with you and receiving your guy's advice!

Hi Zach. We're happy to have you here and it sounds like you have a great bond with your chinchilla! I am a huge animal lover as well, but I do have a word of caution for you. No matter how well your chin and dog seem to get along, they should never be together. All it takes is a fraction of a second for something to happen and your chin could be at the e-vet or worse. It is just not worth the risk.

Hello & Welcome.

First rule of thumb...keep the dog and chinchilla away from each other. The dog can carry bacteria that is harmless to it, but deadly to a chinchilla.
