Hi everyone i am new here and also at having a chin but i was wondering if anyone would know if a crochet hammock would hurt the chin
 
Hi and welcome. :)

I would definitely not use a crochet hammock. Legs could easily slip through, get caught, and end up broken. Plus, the only really "approved" material for hammocks is polar fleece. If they chew it up (some don't, some do) it doesn't turn into a bazillion little threads that could harm your chin.
