I am not new to the world of Chinchillas but am to this site. My first chinchilla was a rescue about 18 years ago. When he passed away, my children surprised me with my second one. Baby is about 10 years old and recently lost his pal, Psycho Bunny. Both chinchillas have been housed next to rabbits in the room that we refer to as the rabbit room.
When I got Baby, I had three rabbits. Psycho Bunny was the last of three. Years ago, my husband and I decided when the last of rabbits passed away then we would consider getting another chinchilla.
In addition to Baby, we have three rescue cats, two snakes, two bearded dragons (the female may be pregnant again), a salt water tank, two beta, and a fish pond. I hope to add another chinchilla in the near future to our family.
