So glad to be here at chins and hedgies : ) I am actually a new chinchilla owner but not a new animal lover! I've loved animals all my life and have had quite a few different types including dogs, cats, chickens, a snake, and a horse shared a rental of ours at one time too.
Anyway - we had a family friend ask us to take on a chinchilla that needed a home. They had everything he needed and just needed space. We had an extra room and so said yes!
He's so darling and now, we're learning all we can on chinchilla care, diet, etc. I was recommended over here by another chinchilla lover I came into contact with over on Twitter when looking for information, and I'm excited to see all the helpful topics.
