I just wanted to say thanks for all the great information! I just got my first chinnie, a female standard gray, last month. Because of this site and some good advice I got from Rick at NOLA Chin Rescue, I ordered a QC mansion decked out with a chin spin. I haven't been able to resist ordering several goodies from members here too :dance3:
I bought my chin from a lady in Lafayette I found on craigslist. When I picked her up they offered the little cage she was living in, some feed with treats and sunflowers in it and scented dust. And they warned me that she wouldn't eat anything that didn't contain treats
I ditched all of that for Oxbow feed and hay, and blue cloud dust. She sulked around for a week before finally eating the food, but she's now coming around. And she LOVES the blue cloud. Did I mention she loves it? She's really coming around.
So thanks again for all the info, and I'm sure I'll be posting with questions. And here's a picture of her helping with my homework....
