Hey, I'm burritothechinchilla.

I have a chinchilla and his name is burrito (hence the name) and he is about 11 weeks old. I got him about 3 weeks ago and this forum has been a great help so I decided to join to ask some questions that I had.

Here are some pictures of my little burrito lol:dance3:

Oh and soory for the bad image quality. I just wanted to get some quick pictures and didnt feel like looking for the camera so I grabbed my DSi.

Welcome! Adorable chin! You will find that this is a fantastic resource. I am a hedgie owner, but love to look at pics of chins, so feel free to post more of cute little Burrito any time! ;)

Hi and welcome to CnH. Burrito is adorable, so he's your first chinny? Aren't they the greatest. Since nobody has said it yet let me be the first to say you should remove the ramps, chins don't need them and they can easily injure his feet and legs. Search wire ramps. Theresa

Yup, burrito is my first chinchilla. I would like to remove the ramps but unfortunatly I can't. They are part of the 2nd floor which looks like this -> _/. And I do not want to cut it off so there are no sharp edges.

You actually could just pull all that wire ledging out and replace with wooden ledges. It is easier on the foot and gives them something extra to chew on when they feel the need to be little destructors.

He is very cute!

Hmmmm, good idea. I will look into that.:)

He is so cute!
Doesn't he need more wood on the mesh floor so that his feet won't get caught? What do experienced chin owners in this forum think?

He does not have too much area with mesh. A big portion is cover with a large tile. The oly reason there is so much mesh in the picture is because I had to take out his little tube so I could get some pictures. :) I think he is very camera shy!
